What we repair

Anything plumbing-related, big or small.

That is how the company describes its work. A house has four sides to its plumbing, and we repair all of them.

All plumbing services
  1. Supply side

    Leaks & water lines

Everything under pressure: the pipes that bring water in and carry it to each fixture.

  2. Drain side

    Drains & sewer

Everything that runs downhill: sink, tub and floor drains, and the sewer line out to the street or the tank.

  3. Heat side

    Hot water & gas

Water heaters work hard in a desert garage. So do the lines that feed them.

  4. Fixture side

    Kitchen & bath fixtures

The parts of the plumbing you touch every day, repaired or replaced and left working properly.

The name is the standard

Four readings that don’t move.

A pressure test is simple. Bring the line up to pressure, watch the needle, and see whether it stays put. These are the things the company holds itself to on every job.

Honest

Nothing you don’t need

The company’s stated rule is that it will never try to sell a customer something they don’t need. You get the repair that fixes the problem, and a plain explanation of why.

Fair

Fair prices, every time

Prices are meant to be fair on every job, whether it is a dripping faucet or a failed water heater. You hear the price before the work starts.

Respect

Respect for you and your home

Customers are treated with respect: questions answered, options explained without pressure, and the decision left with the homeowner.

Steady

The same service on every visit

Honest, reliable and consistent is how the company describes its goal. The tenth call should go exactly like the first.

On the badge

Looking to the things of others.

The company’s shield carries a reference, Philippians 2:3-4. It is about putting other people’s interests ahead of your own, which is a fair description of what a good repair plumber does all day.

It is also why Integrity Plumbing Service takes money off the bill for the people who serve this community.

Local knowledge

The desert tests plumbing every day.

Hard water, hot garages, concrete slabs and a lot of manufactured homes. Plumbing under the Superstitions has its own ways of failing, and 25 years in the trade teaches where to look first.

10–20grains / gal

Very hard water

East Valley tap water is commonly 10 to 20 grains per gallon. Anything above 10.5 is classed as very hard. Scale is the reason water heaters, faucets and valves wear out early here.

110°F+garage, July

Heaters in hot garages

Most water heaters here sit in the garage, where summer heat and hard water shorten a tank’s working life. Many need replacing sooner than the national average.

0basements

Homes on slabs

Nearly every site-built home in the East Valley sits on a concrete slab with water lines running beneath it. A leak there shows up as a warm floor or a climbing water bill.

HUDcode homes

Manufactured homes

Apache Junction has an unusually large share of manufactured and park-model homes. Their plumbing runs under the floor, and their water heaters must be rated for manufactured housing.

Service area

From the Superstitions, west across the East Valley.

Integrity Plumbing Service is based in Apache Junction and describes its service area as the East Valley: the cities and county neighborhoods east and south-east of Phoenix, out to the foot of the Superstition Mountains.

How hard is the water in Apache Junction and the East Valley?

Very hard. Tap water across the East Valley commonly measures between 10 and 20 grains per gallon, and anything above 10.5 grains per gallon (180 mg/L) is classed as very hard. The exact figure depends on your water provider and the season.

How long does a water heater last in Arizona?

A tank water heater in the Phoenix area often lasts about 8 to 12 years, and on unsoftened water with no maintenance it can fail sooner. Very hard water and the heat of an Arizona garage are harder on a tank than conditions in most of the country.

What is a slab leak, and how would I know I have one?

A slab leak is a leak in a water line that runs under or within the concrete slab a house is built on. The usual signs are an unexplained jump in the water bill, a warm spot on the floor, the sound of water running when everything is off, damp or lifting flooring, or low water pressure.

Why does my drain keep clogging?

A drain that clogs again and again usually has a cause beyond the clog itself: grease and soap built up along the pipe wall, hard-water scale roughening the inside of the line, a sagging or back-pitched section that holds water, a venting problem, or roots or damage in the main line.

How is plumbing in a manufactured home different?

In a manufactured or park-model home the water and drain lines run beneath the floor, inside the insulated underbelly, and come up through the floor to each fixture instead of through the walls. Pipe sizes are often smaller, fixtures and tub drains can be non-standard, and the water heater sits in a small closet.

What should I do first when a pipe bursts?

Shut off the water at the main valve, which in most East Valley homes is outside where the water line enters the house, usually near the front hose bib. If water is near outlets, lights or appliances, switch off power to that area at the breaker panel if you can reach it safely. Then call a plumber.
